Juste Chanter Gospel Choir – The Movement 🎶

The Juste Chanter Gospel Choir Movement began in Toronto,
Ontario, in the fall of 2015, with a simple yet powerful vision: to bring people together through gospel music. In its early days, the choir welcomed everyone—no experience required.
The only thing needed was a heart to sing or a willingness to learn.
Participation was free, and every rehearsal ended with a shared potluck.
That tradition quickly became a cherished part of our community life,
reminding us that fellowship is just as vital as the music we create.
In 2016, the movement expanded to British Columbia,
where it has flourished for the past nine years.
From church halls to Radio-Canada studios,
Juste Chanter has shared the joy and power of gospel music across
Metro Vancouver. As the choir evolved in skill and recognition,
it became an auditioned ensemble—without losing the heart of its mission.
Today, while choir participation requires an audition,
we remain deeply connected to our roots.
Each season, we host a special open rehearsal with a potluck—just $10 to attend.
It’s a great way for new singers to try out the choir, meet the team, and experience our uplifting environment.
📍 We currently have active singers in our Surrey 1 Campus and Online Choir.
Our Burnaby Campus, Surrey 2, and Surrey 3 are still welcoming new singers to help us
launch and grow these exciting new campuses. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something meaningful, this is your moment.

Juste Chanter Gospel Choir – Surrey Campus 1 🎶✨
Launched on January 7th, 2024, the Juste Chanter Gospel Choir – Surrey Campus has been bringing voices together in an uplifting, vibrant, and dynamic musical experience. Hosted at Amazing Grace United Church (12740 102 Ave, Surrey, BC V3V 3E5), this choir is dedicated to sharing the joy of gospel music while fostering a strong sense of community and musical excellence.
Under the direction of Trésor Otshudi, our choir welcomes singers of all levels who are passionate about gospel music and eager to grow in their vocal and musical abilities. Whether you're an experienced singer or new to choir singing, Juste Chanter Gospel Choir – Surrey offers a welcoming space to learn, connect, and inspire through music.

About the Director:
Tresor Otshudi, Conductor & Artistic Director
Tresor Otshudi is an award-winning singer and the founder and artistic director of Juste Chanter Gospel Choir. With over two decades of experience as a vocal coach and singer, Tresor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Trinity Western University and a Vocational Music Theatre Certificate from Choreia in Paris. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Choral Conducting at Messiah University.
