Juste Chanter Gospel Choir – The Movement 🎶✨
The Juste Chanter Gospel Choir Movement was born in Toronto, Ontario, in Fall 2015, with the simple vision of bringing people together through gospel music. In the beginning, the choir was open to all, and the only requirement was a desire to sing or learn to sing. At that time, participation was completely free, but we encouraged everyone to bring a dish to share at the end of practice—a potluck tradition that quickly became a core part of our fellowship. We soon realized that this sense of community was just as important as the music itself, and we decided to keep the tradition alive.
In 2016, the movement expanded to British Columbia, where it has flourished for the past nine years, bringing gospel music to life across Metro Vancouver. Over time, the choir grew in skill and reputation, eventually becoming an auditioned ensemble. Juste Chanter Gospel Choir has since performed in prestigious venues, including inside the studios of Radio-Canada, at private events, and in churches, sharing the power of gospel music with diverse audiences.
Today, while the choir requires an audition to join, we remain deeply connected to our roots. Each season, we hold one free practice session open to all, which coincides with our seasonal potluck. This special gathering allows new singers to experience the choir firsthand while fostering the strong sense of fellowship that has been at the heart of Juste Chanter from the very beginning.

Launched on January 7th, 2024, the Juste Chanter Gospel Choir – Surrey Campus has been bringing voices together in an uplifting, vibrant, and dynamic musical experience. Hosted at Amazing Grace United Church (12740 102 Ave, Surrey, BC V3V 3E5), this choir is dedicated to sharing the joy of gospel music while fostering a strong sense of community and musical excellence.
Under the direction of Trésor Otshudi, our choir welcomes singers of all levels who are passionate about gospel music and eager to grow in their vocal and musical abilities. Whether you're an experienced singer or new to choir singing, Juste Chanter Gospel Choir – Surrey offers a welcoming space to learn, connect, and inspire through music.

About the Director:
Tresor Otshudi, Conductor & Artistic Director
Tresor Otshudi is an award-winning singer and the founder and artistic director of Juste Chanter Gospel Choir. With over two decades of experience as a vocal coach and singer, Tresor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Trinity Western University and a Vocational Music Theatre Certificate from Choreia in Paris. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Choral Conducting at Messiah University.
